Academic Placement Testing

The PERT is given several times each week. Tests are given by appointment only. To schedule an appointment, use the Request an Appointment link, or email or call the Testing Center at 850-973-9451.

Note for High School Students Seeking to Dual Enroll: The PERT testing deadline to begin dual enrollment in Fall 2019 has passed. Please schedule a PERT exam only if you would like to plan ahead for the Spring 2020 term.

Students entering degree programs, taking degree-credit courses, or any level of English, math, or reading courses may be required to take a placement test before registering. ACT, SAT, CPT, and PERT are accepted. Exemptions to the placement test requirement can be found in Florida Statute 1008.3. NOTE: Test scores are only valid for two years.
