Earn Credit at NFC for What You Already Know!

The College Board College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) can save students time and money, help students fulfill a graduation requirement or advance to higher-level classes.

NFC is an open test site for the CLEP exam. Credit will be awarded to students who receive a passing score and are attending NFC. Credit awarded will be determined by the institution you are attending.

What is CLEP?

CLEP is a series of examinations that allow individuals to earn college credit for what they know, regardless of where they learned it. CLEP is the most widely accepted credit-by-examination program in the United States. Exams are available in 34 subject areas.

CLEP exams are 90 minutes with the exception of College Composition, which is 120 minutes. Exams contain multiple-choice questions. CLEP exams are administered on computer. Students receive instant score reports following completion of the exam, except when there is an essay involved.

The CLEP website provides overviews of the exam content, study guides, exam guides with practice questions, and suggested study resources like textbooks and online resources. Visit the Collegeboard for details.
