Associate in Science Degree - Accounting Technology

The A.S. Degree in Accounting Technology is a two-year program designed to equip students with the technical knowledge and skills needed to further their education and careers in entry-level accounting positions.


College Credit Certificates

NFCC offers three short-term Accounting Technology college credit certificates. These certificate programs can be completed in one year or less. They can be taken individually or used as building blocks while completing the A.S. Degree in Accounting Technology.

Accounting Technology Management

27 Credit Hours: Designed to prepare students with the technical knowledge and skills associated with entry-level accounting positions or supplemental training for those currently or previously employed within the field. Teaches the principles, theories and concepts in the preparation and maintenance of financial records, including preparation of governmental tax forms, and in the analysis of financial information for decision making within organizations.

Accounting Technology Operations

18 Credit Hours: Designed to prepare students with the technical knowledge and skills associated with entry-level accounting positions or supplemental training for those currently or previously employed within the field. Teaches the principles, theories and concepts in the preparation and maintenance of financial records and in the analysis of financial information for decision making within organizations.

Accounting Technology Specialist

12 Credit Hours: The purpose of this program is to prepare students with the technical knowledge and skills associated entry-level accounting positions or supplemental training for those currently or previously employed within the field. Teaches data entry of accounting information and the preparation, presentation and analysis of business reports.
