Systems Support Specialist (Full-Time)

JOB DESCRIPTION

SUMMARY
Assists the Network Administrator in planning, design, installation, implementation, upkeep, operation and maintenance of all facets of computer networking including hardware, software and infrastructure.

Partial Duties include:

  1. Installs and maintains networking hardware/software for connectivity to the main NFCC network (Apples, PC’s, printers, APs. etc...)
  2. Maintain other technologies hardware/software for instructional and administrative use (Smartboard, projectors, Electron, etc...)
  3. Maintains network security.  Adds, removes, and changes authorities for network users.
  4. Assists in coordinating equipment, software upgrades, and acquisitions.
  5. Creates detail technical documentation as required.
  6. Conducts and maintains a complete inventory of all computers, peripherals and software.
  7. Trains users in the use of software and hardware.
  8. Installs, maintains and troubleshoots IP based video conferencing equipment.
  9. Assists instructional technology personnel in supporting and maintaining classroom technology to include audiovisual, document projection, and computer integration.
  10. Provide hardware and software support at remote campus locations.
  11. Install and configure wireless access points for students and intra-office connectivity.

Registered Nursing Faculty - Full Time Position

NFC is seeking an enthusiastic nurse educator for didactic, simulation, and clinical instruction.

Must have a current Florida unrestricted Registered Nursing license (and eligible for compact license for practice in Georgia).

Qualifications:

  • Master of Science in Nursing preferred.
  • Experience in Medical-Surgical Nursing preferred.
  • Must have at least two (2) years paid working experience as an RN.
  • This is a full-time (11 month) Faculty position.

Commercial Truck Driving Instructor

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • This is a part-time, non-benefited position.
  • Instructors will work no more than 25 hours per week.
  • Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a Level II background check.

SUMMARY

Through strong, local support from the truck driving and timber industry, North Florida College offers a certified program in the field of commercial truck driving. This program is designed to prepare new drivers for their commercial driver’s license ("CDL") as well continuing education refreshers for existing drivers.  A portion of the training will focus on the specific skills needed within the timber industry.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Possess an active Florida Class A CDL (commercial driver’s license) and a current Department of Transportation physical.
  • Over the road experience, clean driving record. Preferred experience in the logging industry. 

Duties include:  

  • Teach classroom portion of the Truck Driver Training Program, including permits, logbooks and trip planning.
  • Teach hands on portion of the Truck Driver Training Program, including backing, shifting, and behind the wheel.
  • Maintain student files.
  • Maintain Truck Driver Training Program equipment.
  • Monitor inventory of training supplies.
  • Evaluate and grade students throughout the program.
  • Maintain relationships with employers in the trucking industry and assist with the recruitment/placement of students.

Looking for some part time income?

North Florida College is looking for quality Adjunct Instructors to teach day and/or night Regular and Dual Enrollment College Classes. The following disciplines are needed:

Requirements: 

A Master's degree (or higher) in the discipline being taught or a Master's degree in any subject with 18 graduate hours in the discipline.


  • Chemistry Instructor: A Master’s degree (or higher) in the discipline or a Master’s degree in any subject with 18 graduate hours in the chemistry discipline.

  • Biology Instructor: A Master’s degree (or higher) in the discipline or a Master’s degree in any subject with 18 graduate hours in the biology discipline. Evening hours preferred.

  • Foreign Language: Spanish Adjunct Instructor. A Master’s degree (or higher) in the discipline or a Master’s degree in any subject with 18 graduate hours in the Spanish Language discipline.
  • Math Adjunct Instructor: A Master's degree (or higher) in the discipline being taught or a Master's degree in any subject with 18 graduate hours in Math. (Fall Semester)

  • EMS Adjunct Instructor: Must be a paramedic with at least 4 year’s experience and have successfully completed an associate's degree or higher. Must be willing to attend a 40 hour instructional methodology course.

  • Interpreter: For Deaf students - Must be certified. Degrees not required.

There is a need for these classes to be taught throughout our six (6) county area which includes: Hamilton, Jefferson, Lafayette, Madison, Suwannee and Taylor. Every consideration will be made to place you in your county of choice
