Minority Recruitment
The following services are provided:
1) Free presentations are offered to clubs, organizations, churches, schools, festivals, businesses, sororities, career days and etc. on NFCC Career Center and Academic programs.
  • Presentations are given day or night, and Mondays through Sundays.
  • Focus is given to the six county area (Madison, Jefferson, Taylor, Lafayette, Suwannee and Hamilton).
  • Focus is given to the four contiguous Ga. Counties (Lowndes, Brooks, Echols and Thomas).

    2) Brochures, business cards, catalogs and information on financial aid are made available to communities for each of NFCC programs.

    3) A Personal Career and Education Plan (tracking record) of each student’s progress enrolled at NFCC Career Center is kept from the beginning of enrollment through graduation.

    4) Assist students in the selection of a career choice of their interests. The uses of Choices, TABE, Kersey II Temperament software programs are provided.

    5) Assist students in compiling a portfolio.

    6) Assist students with registration and basic orientation.

    7) Recruit students for NFCC Career Center programs (Drafting, Law Enforcement, Corrections, Crossover, Administrative Assistant, GED, Community Ed., Early Childhood Education, Landscape & Horticulture Technology, Registered Nursing, Licensed Practical Nursing, Patient Care Technician, Emergency Medical Technician, Paramedic, and Networking Technology).

    8) Recruit students for NFCC academic programs (A.A., A.S., and A.A.S. degrees).

    9) Assist students in the assessment of various entrance exams.

    10) Encourage students to enroll, follow through with their remedial program and graduate.

    11) Interview students and give a need assessment of students.

    12) Help to secure scholarships for minority students from the minority communities.

    13) Create and Partnership with the minority advisory committee to help improve recruiting efforts of minority students.

    14) Assist students with job placement and follow-up.
