Program Overview, Mission
tutors2 The mission of the North Florida Community College Student Support Services program is to provide support services to first generation, low income or disabled college students to increase their retention and graduation rates, facilitate their transfer from two-year to four-year colleges, and foster an institutional climate supportive of the success of these student populations.

Eligibility and Enrollment requirements:
Student Support Services is a federally funded program that requires the participants meet specific eligibility criteria. Students who are the first generation in their family to attend college, or are a Pell Grant recipient, or have a disability may be eligible for a variety of services provided by the program.

The Student Support Services staff will review student applications to the SSS program to determine who qualifies based on the applicant's educational, economic and other admissions criteria. The program serves a maximum of 200 eligible students per year.

The student must be accepted by North Florida Community College before joining the program.
