What is FAFSA? FAFSA stands for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. This application is the first step for a student requesting any type of financial aid for college tuition. For more information, please contact the Financial Aid office at 850.973.1621.

How many different applications do I have to complete to look for Financial Aid? The FAFSA, once completed, is used to determine a student's eligibility for several different types of financial aid. Some of these include:
Grants: Pell - Federal award up to $4,050 per academic year. FSEOG - Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant - available to students who qualify for full Pell and have an "Effective Family Contribution" of $0. Awards range from $100-$800 and vary based upon the number of credit hours in which a student is enrolled. FSAG - Florida Student Assistance Grant - awarded to Pell eligible students enrolled at least half time (6 credit hours). Maximum award is $1,300 and final approval is given by the State of Florida. Employment: FCWS -Federal College Work Study - students who qualify may work up to fifteen (15) hours per week, pending availability of funds. Loans: Federal Stafford Loan - provides educational funds for students enrolled at least half time; repayment begins upon graduation.For more information, please contact the Financial Aid office at 850.973.1621. |
