NFCC to share information on new programs at Lafayette Public Library on Thursday, May 1
On Thursday May 1, 2014, North Florida Community College (NFCC) XCEL-IT staff will be at the Lafayette County Public Library in Mayo, Fla. at 1 p.m. to present information to perspective students and other interested parties on two new College Credit Certificates and a new Post-Secondary Adult Vocational (PSAV) Certificate.
The programs to be offered at NFCC are:
- 30 credit hour Network Security Certificate that leads to certification in Ethical Hacking& Computer Forensics and Investigations. This program will be offered exclusively online
- 25 credit hour Certificate in Entrepreneurship for Business. Most of the courses in the Entrepreneurial track will be available online.
- 600 clock hour Post-Secondary Adult Vocational (PSAV) certificate focusing on advanced manufacturing proficiencies including Fanuc Robotics technology and 3D printing systems. This program leads to Certification as a Certified Production Technician through the Manufacturing Skills Standards Council (MSSC).
These programs are grant funded through XCEL-IT and are designed to prepare students to work in Advanced Manufacturing, Internet Technology and other industries requiring business acumen, advanced technology skills and/or credentialing.
