NFCC Library receives Exemplary Practice Award from Florida Association of Community Colleges

Hiss was among two presenters chosen from around the state by the FACC Learning Resource Commission to vie for the prestigious award. Her presentation centered on the library’s Starbooks Internet Café and Patio and how the additions of the café in 2005 and the patio in 2008 benefit the NFCC Library and students of the college.  See the award winning presentation.

Starbooks Internet Cafe Patio - NOW OPEN

Wireless internet service is available both inside and outside the library. The patio allows use of wireless services 24/7. Starbooks now features fresh gourmet coffee and biscotti (yummy, crunchy chocolate-y cookies) in addition to hot chocolate and chai tea. Beverages are $0.75 per cup and the biscotti are only $0.50. This is the perfect opportunity visit with friends or have some quiet study time. Come sink into our comfortable chairs and relaxed atmosphere.
