2007 Outstanding Alumni

NFCC recognizes 22 Outstanding Alumni

North Florida Community College paid tribute to 22 distinguished alumni during the annual Courtyard Party May 2, 2007 held at the historic Wardlaw-Smith-Goza Conference Center in Madison, Fla. President Morris G. Steen, Jr. announced the contributions of former students who had attended North Florida Junior College or Suwannee River Junior College.


  • Katrina A. Aikens, Madison, Fla. :Third grade instructor at Madison County Central School.

  • Lenord L. Bembry, Madison, Fla. :General manager of University Homes, Tallahassee, Fla.

  • Linda McCullough Cherry, Madison, Fla.: Healthcare management with Madison Co. Memorial Hospital.

  • James Logan Cross, PH.D., Lake City, Fla.: Director of Research and Institutional Effectiveness at Lake City Community College, Lake City Fla.

  • Jon W. Deas, Jennings, Fla.: Owner/manager of family farm - IIID Farm - for more than 39 years.

  • Emily J. Dickey, Greenville, Fla.: Teacher at Greenville Elementary School, president of Madison County Charmettes.
