Faculty Position in Developmental Mathematics (10 month)
Degree requirements: Bachelors degree in Mathematics or Mathematics Education
Duties: Duties will include teaching some sections of Developmental Mathematics as well as some one on one or small group open lab tutoring in mathematics courses through College Algebra ,Elementary Statistics and Liberal Arts mathematics topics. In the area of support services duties will include academic advisement and tracking of students, developmental lab supervision, and student success activities associated with the college success course currently being developed. In the future teaching duties may include teaching of student success course or components of that course.
Experience: Some classroom or mathematics lab teaching experience preferred.
Applicants being interviewed will be required to do a short presentation on a developmental mathematics topic selected by the NFCC mathematics faculty.
In addition to teaching duties, this position will require serving on College committees and participation in College activities.

Degree requirements: Baccalaureate degree in English, literature, language arts, reading, or journalism (preferred).
Note: A baccalaureate or higher degree in a related discipline may be considered if coupled with either teaching experience in reading or graduate training in developmental education or reading.
Duties: Duties will include teaching some sections of Developmental English and/or Reading as well as some work with individual students or small group open lab tutoring in English or Reading courses through Freshman Composition I and II. In the area of support services duties will include academic advisement and tracking of students, developmental lab supervision, and student success activities associated with the college success course currently being developed. In the future, teaching duties may include teaching of student success course or components of that course.
Experience: Documented classroom success
Applicants being interviewed will be required to present a short teaching demonstration on a Developmental English or Reading topic.
In addition to teaching duties, this position will require serving on College committees and participation in College activities.
