The EPI program will satisfy professional preparation and professional education competencies for the Florida Professional Teaching Certificate. Through EPI Program, people with Bachelor's Degrees and teaching aspirations can receive teacher certification designed to give them the skills they need to become a highly qualified teacher in significantly less time than required for a traditional education degree.

EPI Program Requirements
- Certification requirements: appropriate age, received Official Statement of Eligibility from the Florida Department of Education, met fingerprint requirements, hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Participate in field experience that is appropriate to his or her education plan.
- Fully demonstrate the ability to teach the subject area for which he or she is seeking certification and demonstrate mastery of professional preparation and education competence by achievement of a passing score on the professional education competency examination prior to completion of the program.
