The NFCC Mathematics Dept. offers a variety of courses & services to NFCC's community. These include, but are not limited to:

• Providing students who are not prepared for college level math courses the opportunity to improve their basic math skills (number sense, operations of arithmetic, elementary algebra).
• Providing students in vocational/technical areas the necessary math skills to function in their field of study.
• Providing students attending a four-year institution the mathematics necessary to excel in their major field of study.
• Developing problem solving and analytical skills.
• Developing logical reasoning skills.
• Developing mathematical communication skills/ using correct math language and symbols.
• Developing self-discipline and mathematical study skills.
