College Preparatory Program

College Prep Program Advising Summer 2010

The mission of the NFCC College Prep Program is to ensure that students have every opportunity to be successful in college.

The goal of the program is to provide students with the basic academic skills required for mastery of the college curriculum and to develop in each learner the skills and attitudes necessary for the attainment of academic, career, and life goals.

Each student will be assigned a College Prep Advisor who will assist with advising and course registration, provide each student with any available financial and educational resources and discuss the student’s academic progress, career goals, study skills, and any other academic needs. The advisor will provide the student with general and discipline-specific learning strategies so that the student will have a better success rate in college credit courses; this assistance is designed to help every student with the necessary life skills to succeed academically, personally, and professionally.

All the services provided in our program will enhance your college experience and assist you in achieving your educational goals.
