College Preparatory Advising

NFCC College Prep Advising

If you are a NEW student who have been placed or are currently registered in one or more college prep courses such as MAT 0002C, MAT 0024C, REA 0002C or ENC 0001C or ENC 0020C, your academic advising will be offered by a College Prep Advisor with the NFCC College Prep Program. The College Prep Advisor will assist with your advising and course selection/registration; he/she will provide you with any available financial and educational resources, to discuss your academic progress, career goals, study skills, and any other academic needs. Your advisor will teach you general and discipline-specific learning strategies so you will be successful in college credit courses, and this will also help every student with the necessary life skills to succeed academically, personally, and professionally.

The mission of the NFCC College Prep Program is to ensure that students have every opportunity to be successful in college. The goal of the program is to provide students with the basic academic skills required for mastery of the college curriculum and to develop in each learner the skills and attitudes necessary for the attainment of academic, career, and life goals.

Please contact one of these College Prep Advisors or you can see them during their office hours, you may call, or e-mail them to set up an appointment.
