CPT Test

The Florida College Entry-Level Placement Test (CPT)

The CPT at NFCC is given every Thursday at 8:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. except on holidays. Evening testing times are also available.  Tests are given by appointment only.

First-time-in-college students (those with no prior college credit) who have not received a State of Florida College-Ready high school diploma and who seek admission to the Associate of Arts and/or the Associate of Science or Applied Science degree programs, must take the Florida College Placement Test (FCPT) administered by NFCC and other Florida colleges or have other approved entry-level test scores on file with NFCC that are no more than two years old (ACT, SAT, MAPS, CPT, or FCPT). These test scores are required for educational counseling and placement purposes for all persons enrolling in college-credit programs (per Florida Statutes and State Board of Education Rules.)

Students transferring from private colleges or universities or other state colleges or universities must meet the requirements of the NFCC catalog in effect at the time of their entry to NFCC. Entry level placement testing is ongoing throughout the year. New students are strongly encouraged to apply for admission and complete entry level placement testing prior to the beginning of class registration for any college semester. If this is not possible, new students may apply for admission and complete placement testing during registration for classes.
