2005-2006 – First year of the QEP

• Freshman Composition/American History LC (Nixon/Oliver)
• Purchase & use of Nelson-Denny assessment test to measure learning gains
• Received approval and established remedial reading/first semester requirement

2006-2007 – Second year of the QEP

• Freshman Composition/Computer Applications/Library Skills (Grosskopf/Kozlowski/Hogan)
• Began first semester/remedial reading requirement
• Amended the definition of LCs to include cross-curricular units of study versus linked classes

2007-2008 – Third year of the QEP

• Attempted to schedule a five course themed LC targeting student athletes in need of remediation (Taylor/Kozlowski/Brown/Givens/ Alexander)
• Began planning for a more aggressive marketing campaign – new slogan emerged
• Refocused on QEP outcomes
