Welcome to NFCC's six county area

Area Accommodations and Restaurants

Within walking distance of the downtown section of the City of Madison, the campus of North Florida Community College is situated on beautiful wooded land, providing adequate room for buildings, athletic fields and parking space. NFCC provides educational, technical and skill enhancement services to students in its six-county service area of Hamilton, Jefferson, Lafayette, Madison, Suwannee, Taylor and beyond.


Hamilton County

Hamilton County is located in North Central Florida, with Georgia forming its northern border. The county is separated from the rest of Florida by the Withlacoochee River on the west and the beautiful Suwannee River to the east and south. Jefferson County

Jefferson County is known as the Keystone County. It is the only Florida county that reaches from Georgia to the Gulf of Mexico. It is located in the Florida panhandle, 25 miles east of Tallahassee. Lafayette County

Lafayette County is located in the historic and picturesque Suwannee River section of northern Florida. Mayo, the county seat, is 3 miles from the Suwannee River; 80 miles southeast of Tallahassee; 62 miles northwest of Gainesville; 21 miles south of Live Oak; 29 miles east of Perry; and 35 miles inland from the Gulf of Mexico. Madison County

Madison County is located off of I-10 near I-75. The county border lies beside the Georgia State Line. It is a short drive from Tallahassee, FL., Jacksonville, FL., and Valdosta, GA. To learn more about scenic Madison County contact the Madison County Chamber at (850) 973-2788.


Suwannee County

Created in 1858, Suwannee County is named after the river that borders the county on three sides. The name comes from the Indian word ‘Sawani,” meaning ‘Echo River.” For more information about Suwannee County contact the Suwannee County Chamber at (386) 362-3071.
