NFCC offers special training programs to help those already in the workplace to meet government or industry requirements in specific fields and to meet certification criteria. The Outreach Center provides the Madison County community with access to small business counseling and workshops, a resource library, and a computer learning station/internet access. Business owners can come to the center for counseling, information and educational programs geared especially towards small businesses.

Green Industries Institute specializes in offering a series of courses designed for professionals in the horticulture and landscape fields. Green Industries is located in Monticello, Florida and is a partnership of North Florida Community College, Florida A&M University and the University of Florida. NFCC offers a wide range of leisure-time classes for students and area residents from dancing to senior computing for nominal fees. Courses are taught by instructors who come from a variety of backgrounds and are chosen because of their unique skills and talents. Student ages range from kindergarten through senior citizens, and include people from all educational levels. Check out the classes available by clicking on the Community Education link on the right.

Through reciprocal agreements with area high schools academically qualified high school students may be admitted to certain NFCC courses to gain college, as well as high school, credit. There is no charge for these classes and many high school students shorten the time required to complete the Associate in Arts degree. For more information click on the link to the right.

The College Reach Out Program (CROP) at NFCC is especially designed for middle and high school students who, due to financial or academic barriers, may not consider themselves to be “college bound.” The program encourages students at an early age to understand the importance of participating in a rigorous course of study in middle and high school so they can prepare themselves for college.
