Registered Nursing Program

Accepting an Invitation to Enroll in the ADN Program

The ADN Program director will notify those applicants who have been selected on a competitive basis of their provisional acceptance into the program. Final acceptance into the program is contingent upon satisfactory results from a FDLE background check, drug screen, up to date immunizations and a completed physical, mental and dental exam and attendance at a mandatory orientation session. Information on obtaining these reports/tests/dates will be provided in the provisional acceptance notification package.

Applicants with specific conviction histories or positive drug screens may ultimately not be accepted into the nursing program.

LPNs who have qualified for admission into the ADN Program will begin classes in the second semester of each calendar year. The number of qualified applicants admitted will be contingent upon the number of slots that are available at the beginning of the second semester. LPN’s articulating into the ADN Program will be awarded 9 semester hours of credit for experiential learning within the program when he/she has successfully completed NUR 1770C.
