At North Florida Community College we offer students the option of earning either an associate of science degree (A.S.) or associate of applied science degree (A.A.S.) in Public Safety Technology.
Program Goal: To prepare students for leadership roles in their employment in the field of public safety and to enable current employees in these fields to update their education and skills to better prepare themselves for advancement.
Prerequisites: Successful completion of the Florida Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission approved basic recruit program in either law enforcement or corrections is required for this degree program. Students may receive up to 34 semester hour credit toward this degree for basic recruit, career development, and specialized training.
