NFCC’s Drafting Program prepares students for high demand careers as drafting and design technicians. Graduates are employed in areas such as mechanical and structural design, surveying and drafting. The program teaches techniques in computer aided drafting (CAD) using state-of-the-art computer software. Graduates are in high demand with jobs often waiting after graduation. Intern opportunities, for advanced level students, offer valuable field experienced. Some graduates transfer to colleges of engineering or architecture. Students are required to complete 1900 contact hours in the four semester program.
The drafting program offers individualized training and admits students throughout the year. No classes are offered during the summer months.
