Practical Nursing (LPN) LPN Home Page The Practical Nursing Program at NFCC is designed to prepare both men and women to function as members of the health team in the prevention of illness and in the care and rehabilitation of the sick and injured. Graduates of the program are eligible to make application to the National Council and the Florida State Board of Nursing for examination and licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse. The program requires 1350 clock hours (45 credit hours) and meets Monday-Thursdays.

Patient Care Technician (PCT) During Fall and Spring Hours Contact The program is designed to prepare students for employment as Patient Care Technicians, or to provide supplemental training for persons previously or currently employed in this occupation. This program offers a broad foundation of knowledge and skills, expending the traditional role of Nursing Assistant. Employment opportunities for PCT’s are found in the hospital, nursing home, home health agency, physician offices and in private homes. Graduates of this program are eligible to make application to the Florida State Board of Nursing for examination and licensure as a Certified Nursing Assistant. The program requires 600 clock hours and meets Monday through Friday.
