The program is designed to prepare students for work as File Clerks, Office Clerks, Secretaries or Administrative Assistants. The program also provides supplemental training for persons previously or currently employed in any of these occupations.

Students in this program should be advised by the instructor or the program manager before enrolling in courses.

Students may enter the program during any of the 5-week cycles. Once a student completes the entire program (1050 clock hours) he/she is eligible for a college PSAV Certificate.


Course Descriptions:

The program focuses on broad, transferable skills and stresses understanding and demonstration of the elements of the office support services industry. The coursework is designed to begin training in basic office skills and progress to more complex skill levels. The course content will include:

Admission Requirements:
1. Must be at least 16 years of age.
2. Must possess a high school diploma or GED OR
3. Must have approval of high school principal and the Director of Vocational Programs.
4. Must have satisfactory scores on the TABE test.
