The SBDC
The SBDC at NFCC provides Madison County residents with access to small business counseling and workshops, a resource library, and a computer learning station/internet access. Business owners can come to the center for counseling, information and educational programs geared especially towards small businesses. Appointments are recommended. You may e-mail SBOC@nfcc.edu. The SBDC office is located in Building #33 on Alligator Trail inside first house, center left office.

The RCCI
The Rural Community College Initiative is directed by the Southern Rural Development Center at Mississippi State University and the North Central Regional Center for Rural Development at Iowa State University. Support from the Ford Foundation has greatly expanded the project begun in 1994. The program is designed “to help rural community and tribal colleges in economically distressed regions move their service area communities and residents toward prosperity.” Projects undertaken by participants include support of economic development, increased access to the resources of the community and tribal colleges, and expanded participation in community decision making.
